We were fortunate enough to meet up with the representatives from Aminal Therapeutics Online (ATO) at the Equitana in Melbourne last month. Jo from ATO expanded on the already accepted benifits of Electromagnetic Massage and introduced her Combi Pro System (the combined PEMF and Massage therapy system) being offered offered for sale through Animal Therapeutics Online.

Ferero and I had used several different types of massge and electromagnetic blanket units while we were in Europe and knew the benefits of such therapy. Many brands on the market today do not offer the versatility and compact design offered by the Combi Pro. I would say its compact design coupled with the overall light weight package has made this system easier to use which in the long run. In short, this system will not end up in the “forgotten storage locker” which can be the fate of so many “too hard to use” items. One person can easily carry and position the blanket onto the horse. The controller and battery pack is very light weight and little or no effort is required to position the pack onto Ferero’s back as he stands at 16.2hh.

I was supprised how long the battery pack lasted between charges, with at least one week’s worth of massages between recharges. This will certainly be a benefit at shows where power outlets are not always available. Deep tissue therapy using the electromagnetic setting has shown some marked improvement in Ferero’s recovery after training. Refered to as the “Medi Blanket”, it has become part of our trainning schedule with pre-training and post training applications. I look forward to reporting more about this product as our training progresses.
