Jo is the innovative owner of Animal Therapeutics, which she founded in 2008 after she found a gap in the market for therapeutic products and advice for her own horses. Since then, Jo has strived to help riders, trainers, owners, and ultimately, horses perform at their best.
Jo’s interest in therapy products stemmed from her background in engineering and interest in holistic health care. It has developed further over the years as she’s had to deal with numerous soundness challenges with her own horses including stringhalt, kissing spines and hoof issues. While at times it has been heartbreaking it has allowed her to appreciate a huge variety of challenges that riders face and meant that she is always searching for products that will help horses.
Jo is a successful CEO of multiple businesses but she also runs a boutique horse agistment property and loves to spend as much time there as she can riding her dressage horses.

She also has also has a strong interest in Quarter Horse breeding and has been riding horses that her family have bred and trained. “I have been an Activo-Med user for 4 years or more and I see the benefits it brings our team of horses. It helps with warm up and flexibility, and with the large miles we travel for competitions, our horses handle the travel very well and recover faster.”
